Camping Penrose

Our hemp goodies are screen printed locally in Ghent with ecological water-based ink. For this we work together with screen printing studio Camping Penrose. Camping Penrose is a small studio specialized in limited editions and art prints led by Liselotte Van Daele. Women power!

hemptees seed paper

For the printing of paper seeds, we work together with Growingpaper from Heusden. The flowering cards are printed locally on special printers, so that the seeds are not bruised and they really come out. Yay!

Together we help the bees and butterflies with these wild flower paper seeds. It is a mix of snapdragons, godetia, gypsophila, ice flowers, petunia, poppies, alyssum and foxglove. The best time to sow in the open ground is between March and May. You can sow them indoors from the end of March and plant them outside in mid-May.

Why Wildflower Paper Seeds? The bees and butterflies are having a hard time in Belgium. Wildflowers are disappearing more and more and bees are extremely important for the pollination and fertilization of flowers, plants, fruit trees and vegetable plants!

The Patch Club

For our patches we work together with The Patch Club from Antwerp. Kim, Sharon and an embroidery machine tailor the patches. The patches are then sent to our studio and lovingly sewn onto our hemp products by hand.

detail 100% hemp fabric hemptees

We cooperate with textile manufacturer Onrays from Shanxi. Since we started Hemptees, we were looking for high quality hemp. Above all, we wanted to be sustainable and only use textiles made from 100% hemp.

We found a like-minded manufacturer that specializes in the organic processing of high quality textiles such as linen, bamboo, cotton and hemp. We believe that for clothing to be sustainable, its qualities and materials must be designed to last. That means investing in quality fabrics and craftsmanship – but it also means designing with simplicity and function in mind.

Hemptees is designed in Belgium with a focus on organic farming, fair working conditions and sustainable packaging. We strive for total transparency and we are happy to answer all your questions about production. Only by understanding and being aware of how our products are made, and who makes them, can we make choices that have a positive impact on the world. You can reach us at info@hemptees.be
